The Chattanooga Area Historical Association is a citizen's group concerned with preserving the history of the SE Tennessee Region with special interest in sites within a fifty mile radius of Chattanooga. Through its many projects, the membership is given the opportunity to become involved in the preservation and appreciation of local and regional heritage.
The association serves as a repository for primary and secondary source material. It sponsors and/or publishes books and a regional history journal. Eminent Southern historians have addressed the membership, and the quarterly meetings provide programs of current interest. Trips of historical significance are frequently made available to the membership.
Membership in CAHA is open to the public. Join us and help preserve regional history!
